World Economic Forum – 2015 Meeting in Davos

World Economic Forum - 2015 Meeting in Davos Since 1971, the World Economic Forum or WEF has been known for helping shape the future of the world. Best known for the annual meeting centered in the Davos Mountain Resort in Graubünden, Switzerland, the World Economic Forum will bring together over 2,000 business leaders together on January 21st - 24th, 2015 for the annual meeting in Davos. This January, over 1,000 high profile CEOs will be joined by a group of politicians, religious leaders, non-governmental organizations, as well as media to discuss key global issues. The themes of this year’s meeting in Davos include: Understanding the new global context brought about by a new technological revolution, the future of the internet, impacts of the internet revolution that have yet to occur, and the soon upcoming robotic revolution. Discussing conflict areas in the world, and making a contribution to reconciliation efforts, and overall move towards the direction of collaboration at a worldwide level. The 45th annual meeting in Davos is accessible by helicopter from a few nearby airports including but not limited to Engadin, St. Gallen-Altenrhein, and Zurich. hundreds of private aircraft will be landing in these larger airports and then flying the expected guests to Davos Mountain Resort in Graubünden. Landing and parking spots at nearby airports are expected to be unable to meet the enormous demand brought about by the annual Davos meeting. The largest airport in the area is limited to a meager 60 parking slots for private jets, and the smaller regional airports lack the ability to handle larger private aircraft such as super heavy jets. This means that last minute bookings are near impossible at this point, Swiss representatives have opened up

Charter Flights to Phoenix Deer Valley Airport

Charter Flights to Phoenix Deer Valley Airport One of the busiest airports for private jet charter is Phoenix Deer Valley Airport, located approximately 17 miles north of Phoenix, AZ. It is about a 30 minute drive from Phoenix Deer Valley Airport to the center of Phoenix via I-17N, though much farther away than Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport, Phoenix Deer Valley Airport is an executive airport which includes 2 runways of 4,500 ft and 8,200 ft respectively, the 4,500 ft runway can easily accommodate all pistons and turboprops, as well as most light jets and a few mid sized jets, while the 8,200 ft runway can accommodate aircraft as large as widebody airliners without a hitch. With around 1,000 aircraft based at Phoenix Deer Valley Airport, and over 350,000 aircraft takeoff and landings per day, this makes Phoenix Deer Valley Airport one of the top 5 highest private aircraft airports in terms of private air traffic density. With 2 FBOs (fixed based operators) on site, Phoenix Deer Valley Airport offers ground based gourmet catering, as well as rental car and limo service and many other ground amenities offered by FBOs such as VIP lounges and the ability to simply walk or drive up to your aircraft after a very brief security check. Though not open 24 hours a day like the aforementioned Sky Harbor International Airport, Deer Valley Airport is open from 6 am to midnight, which are realistically decent hours, as very few private flights are flown between midnight and 6 am. In the rare case that your flight may arrive between those hours, Sky Harbor International Airport, which is only about 20 miles away, though Sky Harbor International Airport is traditionally an airport

Private Plane Charter Rates

Private Plane Charter Rates Various types of aircraft are available for charter, and therefor each category of private plane has significantly different private plane charter rates. The smallest type of propellor given aircraft, or pistons can start at $400 an hour as an hourly rate, while the larger intercontinental long range large jets can cost upwards of $14,000 an hour, and can cost as much as $28,000 an hour for large ultra VIP configured airliners. The general prices to be expected as are follows: A domestic flight with 8 passengers or below will cost a total of $3,500 an hour for a light jet and all other costs included for simplicity. These other costs include airport fees, fuel fees, segment and FET taxes, crew fees, and additional fuel fees (if any). At approximately $3,500 an hour we can estimate a flight from New York to Florida (a 3 hour flight) to cost approximately $10,500. But we must not forget that the aircraft would have to return to base, making the estimated price around $21,000. Now these are very basic estimations for a very specific type of aircraft, other aircraft can cost less or more to charter. The way that a charter flight works is by having customers simply use the airtime they are using, as opposed to buying an aircraft in full or partially with a group of others. While the customer may have to traditionally pay for both parts of the flight, this still remains a cheaper option than other method of buying private jet time. Now in the case of an already returning aircraft, it would be possible to only pay the $10,500 originally proposed as the aircraft would essentially already be headed

Private Flights to Daytona Beach

Private Flights to Daytona Beach Daytona Beach International Airport, although being an international airport, is one of the highest traffic airports for private flights. With Four FBOs (fixed base operators) and 8 flight schools on site, this airport is more on the scale of executive airport than an international airport. Daytona Beach International Airport covers about 1,800 acres of real estate, with 3 major runways spanning 10,500, 6,000, and 3,200 ft respectively. The longest runway can accommodate any production aircraft imaginable, while the 6,000 ft runway is perfect for any private aircraft, with a few exceptions (such as widebody business jets). The 3,000 ft runway is great for the aviation schools hosted in the airport, but also as a third runway for piston and turboprop aircraft to land at/take off from. With a yearly density of about 300,000 aircraft takeoffs and landings yearly, one can clearly see how Daytona Beach International Airport compares to much smaller executive airports also considering that a mere 1% of those aircraft are commercial aircraft. With larger airports such as these, your embarking and disembarking will be handled exclusively by an FBO, allowing you to avoid long lines at security and TSA, and board your aircraft directly after a brief security search. All four FBOs at Daytona Beach International Airport offer beautifully designed and comfortable lounges and waiting areas and also offer ground catering and can accommodate special dining or security requests. Located approximately three miles from Daytona Beach, this airport not only offers near-direct access to Daytona beach but also the Daytona International Speedway, home to the Daytona 500 since 1959. The Daytona Beach International Airport is one of the most commonly chartered to airports in the United States,

Private flights to the 2014 Formula 1 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix Starting with practice races on Friday November 21 to the final race on Sunday November 23rd, this year’s final Formula 1 Grand Prix is being held in the world’s richest city. Abu Dhabi has been home to a Grand Prix since 2009 with its stunning 5.55 kilometer Yas Marina Circuit, boasting the longest straight in this year’s Formula 1 calendar. Beautifully placed on Yas Island, with a waterfront setting, the Yas Marina Circuit winds around the brand new marina. Yas Marina Circuit’s opening race in 2009 was a night race, the very first in Formula 1 history. 23 drivers will be driving the standard 55 laps around the Yas Marina Circuit starting at 5 pm local time, through the sunset and into the night over the course of the race. The world’s best Formula 1 drivers will all come together for this year’s last race of the Grand Prix season. This is the event of the year to watch in person! The beauty of Abu Dhabi and of the Yas Marina Circuit cannot be properly represented with words or images. With only 10 days remaining for the final race, now is the best time to book a private jet to Abu Dhabi’s Al Bateen Executive Airport; 17 kilometers from the Yas Marina Circuit, and offering the very best in luxury services from VIP lounges, ground catering and limousine services. With only 5 minute taxi time from landing to the executive terminal, there is no better location to land for this event. Abu Dhabi’s Yas Island is home to Yas Waterworld, Ferrari World, The Yas Hotel, Yas Marina, and of course the Yas Marina Circuit.

Are fuel stops worth it?

Are fuel stops worth it? A great deal of our customers understand that flying without a fuel stop is the best way to fly. But this isn’t just in terms of time saving, flying without a fuel stop can very commonly cost less than flying with an aircraft with enough range to fly the trip without a fuel stop. Very commonly, customers will opt for a jet that costs less per hour at the cost of a fuel stop, these customers assume the amount of time on the ground will be minimal, but I have personally seen fuel stops exceeding 40 minutes in a light jet. 40 minutes of lost time in addition to paying nearly an hour of jet rental in addition to the extra fuel speaks mostly for itself. In a 40 minute fuel stop scenario, renting a slightly larger aircraft would make all the difference as well as amount to the same basic costs of operation. Now let’s calculate a 1500 nmi (nautical mile) journey in two different light jets. One being a Learjet 35A costing approximately $2,300 an hour and an eclipse 500 which costs approximately $1,800 an hour to rent. With our hypothetical trip, we will flying 4 passengers from the Boston area to Austin, TX. From a basic standpoint, we can see that the Eclipse 500 and Lear 35A differ in price by about $500 an hour. Now simply running this scenario through our booking engine shows that the cost for the Eclipse is 18,577.00 while the cost for the Lear 35A is 18,149.00. this makes the Learjet 35A technically cheaper, but even if it wasn’t; another point is the simple fact that lost time is worse than lost money

Private Cargo Charter

Private Cargo Charter   There are many options for transporting your cargo on the market, but few offer the flexibility, speed, and safety of private cargo charter. Would you trust a standard shipping company with gold, diamonds, or organs for transplant? Aircharter.com has 30 years of experience in the field of chartered cargo. The most common of which includes: Laboratory samples Organs for transplant Rare earth metals/Precious metals Drilling equipment or large machines Vehicles While it’s true that private cargo charter can be pricy, the actual advantage of transporting cargo on a private aircraft is convenience and efficiency. For instance, you can choose to ship your cargo out of any airport you’d like as long as the runway is sufficient for your aircraft, and as long as there are no restrictions. This is a perfect substitute for

One Way Guide: Empty leg or not to Empty Leg?

One Way Guide: A look at empty leg flights Frequent private jet charter fliers often fly one way trips. The question is: when is it applicable to request an empty leg? The way a traditional private jet charter works is very simple; chartering  private jet means you rent out the entirety of the aircraft for the entire duration of your trip. This means if a potential customer wishes to fly from new york to florida as a one way trip, said customer would pay for both legs of the trip, as the aircraft would essentially be returning empty, and the customer is responsible for all flight charges concerning his/her trip. Now if an empty leg came into the equation, and the customer had enough time beforehand to request an empty leg, he/she would only pay for the one trip from New York to Florida, the jet in question would already be positioned in New York and would need to return to it’s home base in Florida, where upkeep and maintenance would be done on the aircraft. Now if this is the case with private air charter, why isn’t everyone constantly flying uniquely in empty legs? Well, firstly, the amount of empty legs available are never enough to keep up with the demand. A great deal of customers fly round trips instead of one ways, and very few empty legs are left over. Customers whop are flying one ways and paying for the entirety of the trip own said aircraft for the return leg, and lacks the ability to sell this empty leg to someone of his choosing. Only airplane owners and operators are approved to rent private jets to customers. The way that modern day empty

Charter Flights to Cuba

Cuba is a very popular international charter destination, and chartered flights to Cuba are becoming more and more popular. For sure some of this is based on the principle of forbidden fruit, and some people are interested simply because our government makes it virtually impracticable for most American citizens to visit the Caribbean island. However, much of it is Cuba’s legitimate appeal, be it cultural, natural, musical or historical, and for a variety of reasons, there is a sizeable audience of Americans who would like to visit Cuba. Now you can. Although the Cuban government permits US citizens to visit, the US Government restricts its citizens from traveling there except under some circumstances in which a license is required. This type of license splits into two categories: ·        General license: No paperwork needed, and applies to the following: 1.      Person on a government related business trip. 2.    Professional journalist on an assignment. 3.    Person visiting close family of Cuban nationality. 4.    Full-time professionals conducting researcher on official business trips. ·        Specific license: Requires paperwork and Department of state approval. This license may be granted under the following: 1.      Full time graduate students conducting academic research towards graduation. 2.    Individuals Engaging in humanitarian projects. 3.    self-employed journalists. 4.    People engaging in religious activities. 5.     Persons visiting close family in Cuba who are not Cuba nationals. 6.    US academic professional that teach in US institutions. 7.     Persons involving non-profit cultural exhibition. 8.    Individuals are participating in a study abroad program that is at least for 10 weeks or longer. With a license of such that can be issued by department of treasury, a US citizen can travel to Cuba with no issue. However, there are still complications due
