Part of the company\u2019s Global series of business jets, the Global 6500\u2019s first flight took place on Jan. 31, 2018.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"__EMPTY_CONTAINER\" data-block=\"true\" data-editor=\"ig_static\" data-offset-key=\"17cg5-0-0\">\n<div class=\"public-DraftStyleDefault-block public-DraftStyleDefault-ltr\" data-offset-key=\"17cg5-0-0\"><span data-offset-key=\"17cg5-0-0\">\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"\" data-block=\"true\" data-editor=\"ig_static\" data-offset-key=\"8i6e3-0-0\">\n<div class=\"public-DraftStyleDefault-block public-DraftStyleDefault-ltr\" data-offset-key=\"8i6e3-0-0\"><span data-offset-key=\"8i6e3-0-0\">Following the completion of its flight-test program, the <em><strong>Global 6500<\/strong><\/em>\u2014which, along with the Global Express and Global 6000, is based on the BD-700-1A10 type\u2014 received type certification from Transport Canada in the third quarter of 2019.
