The G600\u00a0departed Savannah-Hilton Head International Airport at 6:50 p.m. During\u00a0the 1-hour and 18-minute flight, the aircraft climbed to a maximum altitude\u00a0of 51,000 feet\/15,545 meters and reached a maximum airspeed of Mach .925.\u00a0The aircraft landed back in Savannah at 8:08 p.m. local time. \u201cTo have four first\u00a0flights and fly more than 570 hours in less than six months is a remarkable achievement,\u201d\u00a0said Dan Nale, senior vice president, Programs, Engineering and Test, Gulfstream.\u00a0\u201cThe rapid maturity of this program is due to the work we did before the flying even\u00a0started \u2014 the strategic planning, the research, the lab development \u2014 combined with the\u00a0success we\u2019ve had in the similar G500 program.\u201d\u00a0The fifth G600 test aircraft was recently delivered to the Savannah Completions\u00a0center, where it will be transformed into a fully outfitted production aircraft.\u00a0During flight test the aircraft will be used to validate interior elements and ensure\u00a0the successful integration of aircraft systems with the passenger experience.\u00a0To date, the G600 program\u2019s four test aircraft have accumulated more than\u00a0130 flights.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Source: ULTIMATEJET<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"","protected":false},"author":30,"featured_media":30114,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[1],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-30113","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-aircharter"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v27.4 -
